A group of families that partner together and meet regularly to achieve academic success. 

Our team welcomes any student to apply as we are well equipped to service students of varying needs and abilities. Our approach to instruction is very hands-on and engaging. You will never find a student sitting in a desk all day at TCS! We provide a visually stimulating environment and give students plenty of time to move to get out their energy. 

One of the best parts of our program is that we can tailor your student's schedule to meet their needs. Specifically for math and literacy, we do ability grouping instead of grade grouping. This means that each student takes a placement test in both math and literacy then we use that data to determine which math and ELA class they will attend. We don't call it "3rd grade math" or "6th grade math" -- students simply go to math their first block, or the third block, etc. depending on where. they scored. 

This depends on your home state and how you are registered for homeschooling. The state of Tennessee only requires students in grades 5, 7 and 9 to take an end-of-year state test if they are registered as "Independent". We will work with families to provide them options for state testing depending on where they reside.

That depends on which enrollment option you choose. Beginning with the 2024-2025 school year, families will have the option to use us as a full-time drop of service and pay full price (no volunteer hours required) or receive a discounted tuition by volunteering. All full-time students will be expected to attend each school day. We will provide instruction on all four in-person days in addition to a take home packet for Fridays. All part-time students are expected to attend their specific classes each meeting day. 

We will cap each core academic class at 12 students. We will combine grade levels for things like lunch, electives, community events, and field trips. 

No, we are not considered an umbrella school since we are not tied to a religious organization.

Outside of occasional projects and spelling words, students only have homework if they don't finish work at school.
