Kristen received her Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education as well as a Master’s of Science in STEM Leadership and has just concluded her 6th year of professional teaching. She has experience in both private and public schools, as well as over seven years of working in childcare. Kristen’s heart is for the education system. She desires to seek a change not just for students, but teachers and faculty as well. Throughout her years of teaching, Kristen has seen the ins and outs of the difficulties and tough realities that exist in our school systems. Her desire for change is to provide a safe space for teachers to receive support inside and outside of the classroom, as well as cultivate a positive learning environment for students to develop not just their academic portfolio, but grow in their calling and character.
My name is Kaitlyn and I will always bring the humor to every situation. I graduated from Chattanooga State with a degree in secondary education with an emphasis in history/social studies and a minor in studio production. Starting TCS alongside my sister, Kristen is a dream years in the making. I have worked in child care and in classroom settings for 5+ years and I am so excited to be head of high school! When I'm not at school, you’ll find me running social media sites, working for Peace Valley Farms, hanging out with my dog Theo and preparing for my Scottish Highland cow, Bruhnard.
My name is Brittany Miller. I have been married for 18 years to my husband Mark, and we have 4 children and 1 amazing son in law. We happily live in Rising Fawn, GA where we are starting a tiny farm called Peace Valley Farms, which will one day turn into a big farm. Though I enjoy working on our farm, I also enjoy working with children. I was a substitute teacher in my own children's school since they were small in addition to having taught in ministry of all ages for over 15 years. My husband and I work together to provide family and marriage counseling.
My name is Angel Phillips and I am from a small town called Rising Fawn, Ga! I am married to my best friend and together we have 5 dogs, 2 cats, and way too many chickens. My favorite local place to be is at the Tennessee Aquarium. I find my peace and quiet amongst the sea. It is the next best thing besides being at the beach. So, if you need me, that is where you will find me! I have a degree in early childhood education and have used that knowledge to help grow the minds of children through ministry and working as an educator with elementary age students. I love working with children and watching as they grow a passion for learning through play. I believe that hands on learning is the best source for developmental growth and through play, their world can be opened up for new discoveries, which leads to deeper learning!
